Ecosperity Week 2025
Asia's 2030 Climate Countdown: Ecosperity Week 2025
Asia, with the world's largest population and two of the three biggest carbon emitters, was most affected by extreme weather in 2023, with 2024 trending worse. The region's climate actions will significantly impact global Paris Agreement outcomes.
Amid geopolitical shifts and changing corporate climate commitments, Asia's goal of 45% emissions reduction by 2030 faces challenges. Ecosperity Week 2025 will provide a stocktake on where Asia stands toward 2030 decarbonization targets, identify necessary systems-level changes, explore viable decarbonization pathways to 2030 and address resource and community resilience.
- Which decarbonization technologies are deployment-ready for scaling in Asia?
- What policies can enable regional energy transitions?
- How can we close financing gaps for mitigation and adaptation?
- How can we mainstream climate resilience across Asian economies?
May 6 discussions will focus on decarbonization solutions, while May 7 will feature finance discussions through the Financing Asia's Transition (FAST) Conference, co-organized by BlackRock, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Temasek.
The event will include a line-up of other thematically aligned events by partners in the afternoons, offering in-depth dialogue through panels, roundtables, workshops, and pitch sessions.
The Ecosperity Action Hub returns in 2025, providing a platform before and after plenary sessions for organizations to showcase sustainability initiatives and opportunities.
