Exploring the Impact of Private Markets and Dodd-Frank Act on Investment Advisers at SEC Investor Advisory Meeting
The SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee will be hosting a virtual public meeting on March 2 at 10:00 a.m. ET via webcast to discuss the growth of the private markets relative to the public markets and potential implications; the oversight of investment advisers and how regulators can keep up with the growth in the industry; and open-end fund liquidity risk management and swing pricing. This meeting was established per the requirements set forth within the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010 (DF Act). The DF Act, signed into law by President Obama, aimed to improve financial market regulations to help protect consumers and investors against any future financial crisis. During this meeting, three different panels will discuss and analyze these topics while taking questions from the public.
