Investigating the Regulatory Actions of the ICO: A Strategic Plan for Moving Forward

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has announced a new strategic approach to regulatory action with the launch of a consultation on how it will prioritize and fast track Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulation appeals. This is part of the ICO25 strategy, which was informed by views from within the data protection and freedom of information community. The strategy aims to empower both members of the public and businesses across the UK by prioritizing appeals where there is a clear public interest in the information requested.
