Securing Your Future: Ensure Investment Success Through Education and Awareness During World Investor Week 2023

SEC staff throughout the country will be hosting various outreach events for World Investor Week (WIW) 2023 to emphasize the importance of investment safety and financial literacy. The SEC Chair, Gary Gensler, encourages those interested in learning more about protecting their investments to take advantage of online resources and participate in the week’s events. Events offered during WIW include presentations aimed at older investors, military service members and their families, teachers, and those reentering back into society; classroom activities for high school and college students; a live AARP Fraud Watch Network Facebook event; a radio interview targeting older investors; and a Thrift Savings Plan program event for federal employees. In addition, the SEC has provided informational videos and resource pages on Investor.gov and its WIW page to further educate and protect those investing.
