SEC Opens Registration for Municipal Securities Disclosure Conference

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has opened public registration for the Municipal Securities Disclosure Conference, to be held on May 10th, 2023. The conference, held in a hybrid format combining both in-person and virtual participation, will bring together a variety of stakeholders from the municipal securities market, such as issuers and investors. Four central topics will be discussed during the conference, including voluntary disclosure practices of municipal issuers, the impact of the Financial Data Transparency Act on the municipal market, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in the municipal market, and emerging and longstanding issues in the municipal securities market. Gary Gensler, Hester Peirce, Jaime Lizárraga, and staff from the Office of Municipal Securities, including Director Dave Sanchez, will participate in the conference.
